About Me

After over 20 years of working in the ‘City’ of London and working extremely hard with very long hours in the office, I was introduced to healing arts and a more ‘spiritual’ belief in life by a dear friend and I began to look at my life differently. I began reading about life, researching health matters and attending courses on healing, wellbeing and massage.

After several years of various activities I decided that I wanted to take a different direction in life and help others and those in need. I did not know what direction this would take but I decided to let the universe decide for me.

Within a year I had completed my ITEC Anatomy and Physiology and went on to further study and complete my Reiki training and several massage courses and became a member of the Essex Healers, but this did not feel as if it was enough for me. So in 2007 I decided I wanted to do something more and began researching and kept finding information and courses on Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Having had acupuncture earlier in my life for a severely bad back which worked wonders I became inspired to find out more, so continued to research and investigate Acupuncture as a profession. At this time I also started to study Taiji Quan (Tai Chi) and Qi Gong which are both part of the Chinese Medicine toolbox.

In 2008 I went to a taster day at the London College of Acupuncture (LCTA) and was instantly hooked and knew this was the path for me. Within a week I had decided to leave 23 years in the City behind and signed up for the 3 Year BSc(Hons) Acupuncture course and to do a 2 Year Licentiate Diploma in Tui Na course and a 1 year Diploma in Qi Gong as well,  these 3 would work very well alongside each other.
